Please contact me for my rates and if you have any questions about my Reiki services, which include individual treatment, long distance treatment, pet treatment and classes. I also offer gift certificates.
Individual Treatment
The individual treatment process is very straightforward. The client simply lies down; however, Reike treatment can be received in a sitting position or any other position that is most comfortable for the client. Dress comfortably. There is no need to remove any clothing to receive treatment, as Reiki energy will pass through anything - even casts.
During the treatment, I gently place my hands (non-intrusively) in a sequence of positions, holding each position for several minutes, as Reiki energy flows to the areas of need, soothing pain and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. A full treatment, covering the whole body, usually takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours, and can be adapted to the needs of the client.
House calls can be arranged. Billed at the normal treatment rate, plus travel expenses.
Long-Distance Treatment
Because of distance or the inability to travel, clients are sometimes unable to come to my office to receive treatment in person. In these circumstances, I can provide a "Long-Distance Treatment." The client's comfort and relaxation are paramount for long-distance treatment, requiring that we schedule a time when you will be free of interruptions and can lie or sit still for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. We will also need to discuss the treatment prior to the appointment to ensure that you understand how the treatment works and how to maximize its benefits. During long-distance treatment, you may experience the same sensations felt with in-person treatment (i.e., drowsiness, pulsing, tingling, and/or the surfacing of emotions). After the session, you will mostly likely feel very relaxed.
If you or someone you know would like to receive a long distant treatment, please contact me.
Pet Treatment
The method by which Reiki treatment is given to pets is much the same as the treatment for humans, and is not harmful or invasive to your pet. However, since animals cannot talk, it is necessary to take extra time and care to ensure that a pet is comfortable with the Reiki practitioner and receptive to treatment. Pet treatments are best performed in the pet’s home, where he or she will usually be most comfortable. Before, during and after treatment I constantly communicate with him or her, always seeking “permission” to continue the experience. For a first session, and especially if your pet has not had Reiki before, I like to begin working from a distance, which allows the pet to move around, and not feel trapped. Throughout the session, I will check to determine that they are happy and want to continue receiving the treatment. Where possible, once a rappor has been established, I will continue the treatment by placing my hands directly on the animal.
Pets often become very calm and relaxed when receiving a treatment. They seem to sense the power of the Reiki and will often respond by positioning themselves to receive it in the best way for their needs. Sometimes they prefer to stay a few yards away and simply soak up the energy from a distance. For example, when my cat, Cheddar, wants Reiki, he will climb into my lap and give me an expecting look. I usually place one of my hands on his head and the other on his rump for a half hour, after which he usually gets up and has a drink of water. This is how he tells me the session is over.
It is important to remember that Reiki is a powerful treatment that can help with specific conditions and even alleviate symptoms but it is not an alternative to treatment by a qualified vet. Also, remember that if your pet is seriously ill and you are considering a Reiki treatment then your vet must be consulted first.
Gift Certificates -- Available
Gift certificates are a wonderful way to introduce friends and family to the benefits of Reiki treatment. This is especially true for those who would not normally seek out alternative healing treatments on their own. Help others to help themselves. Gift certificates are available for all treatments.
